Erik Larsen, born 8 December 1962 in Minneapolis, is an American comic book writer, artist and publisher. He came to prominence in the early 1990s drawing Marvel's Spider-Man titles, then left in 1992 to become one of the seven founders of Image Comics. There he launched Savage Dragon, the story of a green-skinned Chicago police officer, which he has written and drawn almost single-handedly ever since and which ranks among the longest-running creator-owned superhero series in American comics. He has also served Image as publisher and later as chief financial officer, and returns to Marvel occasionally, notably for Captain America: The End in 2020.
