Emmanuel Guibert is a French comics artist and writer, born on 25 September 1964 in Paris. He is best known for “Alan's War” (2000-2008), the first-person memoir of American soldier Alan Ingram Cope, and “The Photographer” (2003-2006), co-written with journalist Didier Lefèvre on a Médecins sans frontières mission in Afghanistan. He also writes the children's series “Sardine in Outer Space” and “Ariol”, drawn by Marc Boutavant. He received the Grand Prix of the Angoulême Festival in 2020.
