Don McGregor is an American comics writer, born on 15 June 1945 in Providence, Rhode Island. At Marvel in the 1970s he wrote two runs that outlived their moment: Black Panther in Jungle Action, whose "Panther's Rage" storyline is often called the first modern graphic-novel-length superhero arc, and Killraven in Amazing Adventures. In 1978 he published Sabre: Slow Fade of an Endangered Species with Eclipse, one of the earliest graphic novels and the first sold through the direct market of comic shops. He later wrote the Detectives Inc. graphic novels.
