American comics writer, editor and historian. He spent years at Marvel, where he was group editor of the Spider-Man line and wrote for titles including Spider-Man, Darkhawk and Venom. He later turned to writing about the medium: « Superman on the Couch » (2004), « Disguised as Clark Kent » (2007) on Jewish creators and the superhero, and « A Marvelous Life: The Amazing Story of Stan Lee » (2019). He co-edited « The Stan Lee Universe » with Roy Thomas and teaches comics writing.
