Brandon Sanderson

Brandon Sanderson, born in 1975 in Lincoln, Nebraska, is an American fantasy writer. Most of his novels belong to the Cosmere, a shared universe that includes the Mistborn series, begun in 2006, and The Stormlight Archive, begun in 2010, both published by Tor Books. He was chosen to finish Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time after its author's death and wrote its last three volumes between 2009 and 2013. He won the Hugo Award for best novella in 2013 for The Emperor's Soul, teaches creative writing at Brigham Young University, and raised a record sum on Kickstarter in 2022 for four then-undisclosed novels.
