Aaron Shepard is an American children's author, known for his retellings of folk tales and legends and for his work in reader's theater. He also writes for adults about children's publishing, notably The Business of Writing for Children. His books have been honoured by the American Library Association, the National Council for the Social Studies, the American Folklore Society, the New York Public Library and the Bank Street College of Education. He lives in Bellingham, Washington, with his wife and fellow author Anne L. Watson, and publishes free scripts and resources for teachers and storytellers on his website.
