Tom DeFalco

Tom DeFalco, born 26 June 1950 in Queens, New York, is an American comic book writer and editor. He started out in 1972 as an editorial assistant at Archie Comics before moving to Marvel, where he served as editor-in-chief from 1987 to 1994, one of the longest tenures in that post. As a writer he had long runs on The Amazing Spider-Man (1984-1987 and 1996-1998), Thor (1987-1993) and Fantastic Four (1991-1996), and with artist Ron Frenz he created May Parker, the heroine of Spider-Girl, which he wrote for more than a hundred issues between 1998 and 2006. He received an Inkpot Award in 1990.
