Ta-Nehisi Coates

Ta-Nehisi Coates, born on 30 September 1975 in Baltimore, is an American writer and journalist. He studied at Howard University and became a national correspondent for The Atlantic, writing on race, politics and American history. His books are the memoir "The Beautiful Struggle" (2008), "Between the World and Me" (2015), which won the National Book Award for non-fiction, the essay collection "We Were Eight Years in Power" (2017), the novel "The Water Dancer" (2019) and "The Message" (2024); he received a MacArthur Fellowship in 2015. For Marvel he wrote "Black Panther" from 2016 to 2021, together with "Black Panther: World of Wakanda" and "Black Panther and the Crew", and "Captain America" from 2018 to 2021.
