Simon Kernick

Simon Kernick is a British thriller writer, born in February 1967 in Slough. He took a humanities degree at Brighton Polytechnic and worked a series of odd jobs before publishing his first novel, "The Business of Dying", in 2002; it introduced the corrupt detective Dennis Milne, who returns in "A Good Day to Die" (2005) and "The Payback" (2011). He has since written several linked sequences of London thrillers, following the police officers Tina Boyd, from "The Crime Trade" (2004), Mike Bolt, from "Relentless" (2006), and Ray Mason, from "The Witness" (2016), as well as the Scope novels "Siege" (2012) and "Stay Alive" (2014). "Relentless" was picked for the Richard & Judy summer book club in 2007. He is published by Bantam.
