Scott Snyder

Scott Snyder, born 15 January 1976 in New York City, is an American comic-book writer. He published a short-story collection, Voodoo Heart, in 2006, and has taught writing at Sarah Lawrence College, New York University and Columbia. American Vampire, created with the artist Rafael Albuquerque in 2010 and with its first five issues co-written by Stephen King, won the Eisner Award for best new series. From 2011 he wrote Batman for DC with Greg Capullo, a run that produced The Court of Owls, Death of the Family, Zero Year and Endgame, and later the events Dark Nights: Metal and Dark Nights: Death Metal. His creator-owned series at Image include Severed, Wytches, Undiscovered Country and Nocterra. Since 2024 he has written Absolute Batman with Nick Dragotta.
