Paul Murray is an Irish novelist, born in 1975 in Dublin. He studied English at Trinity College Dublin and took a master's in creative writing at the University of East Anglia. His first novel, “An Evening of Long Goodbyes”, appeared in 2003, followed by “Skippy Dies” (2010), set in a Dublin boys' school, and “The Mark and the Void” (2015), a comedy about banking. His fourth novel, “The Bee Sting” (2023), the story of an Irish family in financial and emotional crisis, was shortlisted for the Booker Prize.
