Paolo Giordano

Paolo Giordano is an Italian novelist, born in Turin in 1982. A physicist by training, with a doctorate in particle physics, he was twenty-six when his first novel, The Solitude of Prime Numbers (2008), won the Premio Strega — the youngest writer ever to take it. Translated into some forty languages and adapted for the screen, it was followed by The Human Body (2012), Like Family (2014) and Heaven and Earth (2018). During the first months of the pandemic he wrote the essay How Contagion Works (2020), and in 2022 the novel Tasmania. He is also a columnist for Corriere della Sera.
