Marc Levy is a French novelist, born on 16 October 1961 in Boulogne-Billancourt. He volunteered with the French Red Cross for six years, studied management and computer science at Paris-Dauphine, founded a computer-services company in 1983 and later an architecture practice. He published his first novel at thirty-eight: Et si c'était vrai… (Robert Laffont, 2000), which won the Prix Goya for a first novel and was adapted in Hollywood as Just Like Heaven (2005). Some thirty books followed, among them Où es-tu? (2001), Sept jours pour une éternité… (2003), Mes amis mes amours (2006) and Les Enfants de la liberté (2007). He writes from London, and was made a Chevalier of the Légion d'honneur in 2025.
