Lucy Foley is a British novelist, born in 1986. She read English literature at University College London and at Durham University, then worked as a fiction editor at Headline and at Hodder & Stoughton before writing full time. Her first three novels are historical fiction: The Book of Lost and Found (2015), The Invitation (2016) and Last Letter from Istanbul (2018). She then turned to closed-circle mysteries with The Hunting Party (2018), The Guest List (2020), winner of the Goodreads Choice Award for Mystery & Thriller, The Paris Apartment (2022) and The Midnight Feast (2024). Murder at the Grand Alpine Hotel, an authorised new Miss Marple novel, follows in September 2026.
