Linwood Barclay is a Canadian thriller novelist, born on 28 March 1955 in Darien, Connecticut. He grew up near Bobcaygeon, Ontario, and worked for the Toronto Star for many years as a columnist. He is best known for suspense novels set in ordinary suburban settings, including “No Time for Goodbye” (2007), a bestseller in Britain, and the Promise Falls trilogy (“Broken Promise”, “Far from True”, “The Twenty-Three”, 2015-2016). He also writes the Zack Walker mysteries and the young-adult Chase series.
