Janet Evanovich

Janet Evanovich is an American novelist, born on 22 April 1943 in South River, New Jersey. She studied art at Douglass College before turning to fiction, publishing romance novels from 1987, first under the pen name Steffie Hall and then under her own name. In 1994 she launched the Stephanie Plum series with “One for the Money”, following a bounty hunter in Trenton; the book won the Dilys Award and the Crime Writers' Association's New Blood Dagger, and the series now runs to more than thirty volumes. She also writes the Fox & O'Hare novels with Lee Goldberg, and the Wicked and Knight & Moon series with Phoef Sutton.
