Jane Porter is an American writer of romance and women's fiction, born in Visalia, California, in 1960. A UCLA graduate with a master's degree in writing from the University of San Francisco, she has published more than forty-five books since 2000, first for Harlequin and Mills & Boon and then for Tule Publishing, the press she founded in 2013. Her novel Flirting with Forty was filmed for Lifetime with Heather Locklear, and her novella Take Me, Cowboy won the Romance Writers of America RITA Award in 2014. She lives in California.
