David Grann

David Grann is an American journalist and writer, born in 1967. A staff writer at The New Yorker, he is the author of long-form non-fiction that reads like adventure narrative: The Lost City of Z (2009), on Percy Fawcett's disappearance in the Amazon; Killers of the Flower Moon (2017), on the Osage murders and the early FBI, adapted for the screen by Martin Scorsese; and The Wager (2023), on the mutiny of a British warship wrecked off Patagonia. His reporting has also been collected in The Devil and Sherlock Holmes.
