Adrian Tchaikovsky

Adrian Tchaikovsky is a British science-fiction and fantasy writer, born in June 1972 in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, into a family of Polish descent (the name was originally Czajkowski). He studied zoology and psychology at the University of Reading and worked as a legal executive before writing full-time. His ten-book fantasy sequence Shadows of the Apt appeared from 2008, but he is best known for “Children of Time” (2015), which won the Arthur C. Clarke Award and was followed by “Children of Ruin” and “Children of Memory”. He also wrote the Final Architecture space-opera trilogy (2021-2023) and remains strikingly prolific across both genres.
