
Elliot S. Maggin, born 14 November 1950, is an American writer. He was one of the principal Superman writers at DC Comics from 1972 to 1986, also contributing to Action Comics, Batman Family and Green Lantern, and served as a DC editor from 1989 to 1991. He wrote two Superman novels, Last Son of Krypton (1978) and Miracle Monday (1981), and the novelisation of Kingdom Come (1998). Outside comics he has taught at high school and college level and twice run for the Democratic nomination to the US House of Representatives.
