Eugenia Brandt Böhlke (1928-2001), known as Genie, was an American ichthyologist. Born in Black Diamond, Washington, she studied at Stanford University, where she took a B.S. in biological sciences in 1949 and an M.S. in chemistry in 1951. From 1954 she worked at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia, alongside and after her husband, the ichthyologist James E. Böhlke. Morays were her subject: she published more than thirty-five papers on the family, and compiled the Academy's catalogue of ichthyological type specimens in 1984. She edited Part 9 of the monograph series Fishes of the Western North Atlantic, devoted to eels and their larvae.
