American clinical virologist and science-fiction editor, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Alongside a scientific career that has produced textbooks and more than sixty articles and book chapters, he edits science-fiction anthologies: Far Orbit: Speculative Space Adventures in 2014 and Far Orbit Apogee in 2015, both for World Weaver Press, and later guest-edited volumes for Third Flatiron and Pushpin Books.
