He joined PDI/DreamWorks in 1997 and produced Antz, then the Shrek films, for which he received the first Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2002; he also voiced the Big Bad Wolf in the series and co-wrote Shrek the Third. In comics he created Pariah, a science-fiction story about genetically engineered teenagers blamed for a viral outbreak, written with Philip Gelatt and drawn by Brett Weldele, first published by Sea Lion Books and later collected by Dark Horse Comics.
