Yuki Tabata is a Japanese manga artist, born in 1983 in Fukuoka Prefecture. He began as an assistant to Toshiaki Iwashiro and won the Golden Future Cup in 2011 with the one-shot “Hungry Joker”, which became a serial in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 2012. In February 2015 he launched “Black Clover”, the story of Asta, a boy born without magic in a world full of it who sets out to become Wizard King. It ran in Weekly Shōnen Jump until 2023, then continued in Jump Giga until it ended in 2026, and was adapted as an anime series by Studio Pierrot and as a feature film.
