Scott Lynch is an American fantasy novelist, born on 2 April 1978 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He published his first novel, “The Lies of Locke Lamora”, in 2006, opening the Gentleman Bastard Sequence, a planned seven-book series set in the merchant city of Camorr and following the con man Locke Lamora and his companion Jean Tannen. Three volumes have appeared to date — “The Lies of Locke Lamora”, “Red Seas Under Red Skies” and “The Republic of Thieves”. He is published by Gollancz in the UK and Bantam Spectra in the US.
