Sarah Pearse

Sarah Pearse is a British crime and thriller writer, born in 1981 in Torbay, Devon. She read English and creative writing at the University of Warwick and studied broadcast journalism at Falmouth University, and worked in public relations before writing full time. Her debut, The Sanatorium (2021), a Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick, became a Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller and opened the Detective Elin Warner trilogy, continued by The Retreat (2022) and The Wilds (2024). She lives in Devon.
