Robert Galbraith

Robert Galbraith is the pen name under which J. K. Rowling writes crime fiction. She first published as Galbraith in 2013 with “The Cuckoo's Calling”, presented as the debut of a former plain-clothes military police officer; her authorship was revealed a few months later. The Cormoran Strike series follows the London private investigator Cormoran Strike, a former Royal Military Police special investigator turned amputee war veteran, and his partner Robin Ellacott. It runs to eight volumes: “The Cuckoo's Calling”, “The Silkworm”, “Career of Evil”, “Lethal White”, “Troubled Blood”, “The Ink Black Heart”, “The Running Grave” and “The Hallmarked Man” (2025). A ninth, “Sleep Tight, Evangeline”, was announced in February 2026, without a publication date so far. The series has been adapted by the BBC as “Strike”.
