Kieron Gillen is a British comics writer, born in 1975. He spent a decade as a video game and music journalist for PC Gamer, Edge and The Guardian, and co-founded the site Rock Paper Shotgun in 2007 before turning to comics full time in 2010. With the artist Jamie McKelvie he made Phonogram, Young Avengers and The Wicked + The Divine; with Stephanie Hans, the role-playing fantasy Die; and he writes The Power Fantasy with Caspar Wijngaard. At Marvel he has written Journey into Mystery, Uncanny X-Men, Immortal X-Men and the Darth Vader and Doctor Aphra runs of Star Wars.
