Jordan B. Peterson is a Canadian clinical psychologist and author, born on 12 June 1962 in Edmonton, Alberta. He holds bachelor's degrees in political science and psychology from the University of Alberta and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from McGill University, and taught at Harvard before joining the University of Toronto in 1998. His first book, Maps of Meaning: The Architecture of Belief, appeared in 1999. He rose to international attention with 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos (2018), a bestseller translated into more than fifty languages, followed by Beyond Order: 12 More Rules for Life (2021) and We Who Wrestle with God (2024).
