John Weisman, born in 1942, is an American journalist and novelist. He wrote for Rolling Stone and the Detroit Free Press and was Washington bureau chief of TV Guide before turning to special-operations writing: in 1992 he wrote Rogue Warrior with the former Navy SEAL commander Richard Marcinko, then conceived and wrote the sequels that make up the Rogue Warrior series. He is also the co-author, with the CIA officer Felix Rodriguez, of Shadow Warrior, and the author of the espionage novels Jack in the Box, Direct Action and KBL: Kill Bin Laden. He reviews books on intelligence and military affairs for the Washington Times.
