J.K. Rowling

J.K. Rowling is a British novelist, born on 31 July 1965 in Yate, Gloucestershire. “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” appeared in 1997, the first of seven novels completed in 2007 and since translated into more than eighty languages. She has extended that world in companion books and in the screenplays for the “Fantastic Beasts” films. Under her own name she has also published the novel “The Casual Vacancy” (2012) and the fairy tales “The Ickabog” (2020) and “The Christmas Pig” (2021); as Robert Galbraith she has written the Cormoran Strike crime novels since 2013.
