David Lagercrantz is a Swedish writer and journalist, born in Solna in 1962. A crime reporter for the newspaper Expressen before he turned to books, he had his first large success in 2011 with a first-person biography of the footballer Zlatan Ibrahimović. He was then chosen to continue Stieg Larsson's Millennium series and wrote three volumes of it, from “The Girl in the Spider's Web” (2015) to “The Girl Who Lived Twice” (2019). Since 2021 he has written his own crime series, following Professor Hans Rekke and Detective Micaela Vargas, which began with “Obscuritas”.
